Habib Bennaceur: Novo Nordisk Highlights Progress in Rare Bleeding Disorders at ISTH 2026
Habib Bennaceur, Senior Vice President of Rare Disease Unit at Novo Nordisk, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“After an intense and productive week at ISTH 2026 in Paris, I leave energised by the quality of the scientific exchange, the conversations we shared, and the collective commitment across the rare bleeding disorders community to advance treatment options and improve outcomes.
ISTH is always a valuable opportunity to connect with the scientific community, medical associations, healthcare professionals, nurses, patient organisations, partners, colleagues, and people living with haemophilia and other rare bleeding disorders.
These conversations matter.
They help us listen, learn, and better understand where we can make the greatest difference.
I am proud of the scientific data Novo Nordisk contributed across our portfolio and areas of unmet need.
The engagement throughout the week—in scientific sessions, meetings, and discussions —reinforced the importance of continued innovation, collaboration, and partnership.
For the more than one million people living with haemophilia worldwide, daily life extends far beyond managing bleeds.
It is about balancing protection, practicality, and quality of life—often involving difficult trade-offs.
At Novo Nordisk, we believe treating haemophilia means treating the whole person.
Our ambition is that every person living with haemophilia has timely and equitable access to individualised treatment options throughout their lives, alongside care that empowers them to make informed decisions based on their own needs and goals.
ISTH 2026 was also the opportunity to meet with great colleagues from all over the world, share special moments and enjoy time together.
I’m grateful of being part of the Novo Nordisk Rare Disease community animated by strong commitment and passion.
Special thanks to Hong Chow, who joined us at ISTH.
It was a pleasure to share this experience together and to continue driving our shared commitment to advancing care and making a difference for patients.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a meaningful week of science, collaboration, and partnership.
I leave Paris grateful for the conversations, proud of our team, and even more motivated for the work ahead.”
