Jackie Pueppke: The AHA’s Stroke Cards Remind Me How Quickly Action Saved My Life
Jackie Pueppke, Founder and Attorney at Egr Pueppke Law LLC, reposted from American Heart Association on LinkedIn:
”With the 10 year anniversary of my stroke coming up on June 27th, I am sharing the American Heart Association’s soccer themed post on the signs of a stroke.
I was in an early morning group fitness class when I had my stroke.
I believe my only signs of a stroke were a droop on the left side of my face and a lack of understanding directions/slow response to a change in exercise moves, rather than a complete loss of balance.
Fortunately, these were enough for the instructor to suspect a stroke and she immediately called 911.
I made a full recovery because I received the necessary treatment so quickly.
Time is everything for stroke patients.”
Quoting American Heart Association‘s post:
”If you spot any of these stroke signs, consider it a red card.
Stop everything and call 911.
There’s no extra time when it comes to stroke – every second counts.
Recognizing the warning signs and getting help quickly can make all the difference in the world.
