Kathaleen Schnur: Aging with Hemophilia Through a Psychosocial Lens at THSNA 2026
Kathaleen Schnur, Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m truly honored to have been invited to the Thrombosis and Hemostasis Summit of North America 2026 to speak on the psychosocial implications of aging with hemophilia.
As a social worker practicing within a comprehensive clinic, I’m surrounded by colleagues whose training is often rooted in pathology and clinical outcomes.
I’m continually grateful for opportunities like this to bring forward a perspective that centers on the environments, systems, and lived experiences that so often shape our patients’ ability to access and engage in care.
Aging with hemophilia is not only a medical journey, it is deeply influenced by loss, resilience, access, history, and the cumulative impact of navigating complex systems over a lifetime. These are the stories and realities that deserve space in our conversations.”
