Keira Maupin: Supporting Families with Loeys-Dietz Syndrome in Kayley’s Memory
Keira Maupin, Costume Shop Worker at Belmont University College of Music and Performing Arts, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week, I joined The Marfan Foundation as a Nashville Community Chair.
In this role, I’m organizing Team Belmont for Kayley for the Nashville Walk for Victory on April 11 at Sevier Park.
Kayley was one of my closest friends and lived with a rare connective tissue disorder called Loeys-Dietz syndrome, which affects the body’s connective tissue and can cause life-threatening complications if they go undetected.
In her memory, our team is raising funds to support research, patient resources, and awareness for families navigating these diagnoses.
We’ve already raised $310 toward our $1,000 goal, and every registration or donation helps move that forward.
If you’d like to support, please register for the walk and join Team Belmont for Kayley (in person or virtually) or make a donation to support the Marfan Foundation on our team page.
Thank you to everyone helping keep Kayley’s legacy alive through this work!”
