Marina Planas: MRD and Molecular Monitoring Take Center Stage at EHA 2026
Marina Planas, CEO and Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Board Member at Altum Sequencing, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“European Hematology Association (EHA) 2026 confirmed something we strongly believe at Altum Sequencing:
The future of hematology will be increasingly shaped by MRD and molecular monitoring.
Over the past few days in Stockholm, one theme appeared repeatedly across scientific sessions and industry discussions: the need to detect response, resistance and relapse earlier, with greater precision and actionable insights.
This year’s congress was also a special milestone for Altum Sequencing.
For the first time, we exhibited with our own stand at the European Hematology Association (EHA).
Over four intense days, we strengthened relationships with existing customers, initiated discussions with prospective customers, and met with pharmaceutical companies, clinicians, principal investigators, industry partners and technology leaders shaping the future of precision medicine.
Seeing Joaquin Martinez and Rosa Ayala at our stand, together with an exceptional Altum Sequencing team, was a powerful reminder that transformative companies are built when scientific excellence meets execution.
We return from Stockholm with new opportunities, stronger partnerships and even greater ambition.
We believe MRD and molecular monitoring will become a standard component of cancer care.
And Altum Sequencing intends to help make that future a reality.”
