”A perspective that gave me a little more to reflect on.
Last week, I had the opportunity to attend a session focused on hemophilia, covering areas such as health, exercise, mental wellbeing and the role of occupational therapy.
It was valuable to look at hemophilia from a broader perspective. Managing a condition like this isn’t only about medical care. It also involves understanding your body, staying active in the right way, looking after your mental wellbeing and having the right support around you.
The session also made me think about how much awareness influences inclusion. The more we understand about conditions that aren’t always visible, the better equipped we are to create environments where people can participate, contribute and thrive without being defined by their condition.
Sharing this as a small reminder that awareness isn’t just about knowing that a condition exists — it’s about understanding the person living with it.”
