Mostafa Faisal Mohammed Saleh: Exploring the Role of AI and Learning in Monitoring Iron Overload in Beta-Thalassemia
Mostafa Faisal Mohammed Saleh, Associate Professor of Clinical Hematology and HSCT at Assiut University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Hemoglobin, adding:
“Excited to share that our recent review has been published in Hemoglobin journal.
In this review, we explored the emerging role of artificial intelligence and deep learning in monitoring iron overload in transfusion-dependent β-Thalassemia.
Al-driven MRI analysis showed promising improvements in accuracy, reproducibility, and assessment of severe iron overload, with potential applications in predicting iron-related complications.
Kudos to Abdulrahman Nasiri for leading this important work.”
