”Does fasting affect anticoagulant therapy? This study investigated the effects of fasting during Ramadan.
Results indicate that fasting may slightly affect vitamin K antagonist (VKA) therapy due to changes in diet and medication timing. This cohort study found modest shifts in anticoagulation intensity and dosing – but no rise in death, bleeding, or clotting events.”
