Abeer Alanazi: New Stroke Prevention Without Increased Bleeding Risk

“Here’s the biggest thing to happen to secondary stroke prevention since the advent of clopidogrel!!
The phase 3 OCEANIC-STROKE trial
In patients with recent noncardioembolic ischemic stroke or high-risk TIA, asundexian 50 mg and antiplatelet therapy reduced the risk of ischemic stroke vs placebo (6.2% vs 8.4%; HR 0.74; P<0.001)
No increase in major bleeding.”
